What is the Danfoss NRVA check valve used for?
The NRVA is a spring-loaded check valve that prevents refrigerant backflow in industrial refrigeration pipelines — for example stopping discharge gas flowing back to the compressor on shutdown. This product is usually installed at the pump outlet.
What spring options are available?
Two spring strengths are available: 0.12 bar and 0.30 bar opening differential pressure — select according to the application and the allowable pressure drop.
What pressure is the NRVA rated for?
Confirm the pressure rating when ordering — tell us your system design pressure and we will quote the correct version.
Which refrigerants is the NRVA suitable for?
The NRVA is suitable for ammonia, Freon and CO2 refrigeration systems.
What is the difference between NRVA and CHV-X?
Both are Danfoss check valves preventing backflow. The NRVA is the classic range with selectable spring strengths (0.12 / 0.30 bar); the CHV-X is the newer range opening at a very low 0.04 bar differential. Tell us your application and we will recommend the right one.
What sizes are available?
The NRVA range covers DN 15/20, DN 25/32 and DN 40/50 — valve assemblies, seats and flange gaskets are available as spare parts.
