Danfoss SFV Safety Relief Valves

SFV 20–25 are standard, back-pressure-dependent safety relief valves in angle-way execution, specially designed for protection of vessels and other components against excessive pressure. They meet the strict quality and safety demands specified by the international classification societies, and are recommended as external and internal safety relief valves in refrigeration plants. The spring housing is closed tightly to avoid refrigerant leakage.

Range

Standard pressure-setting valves with “TÜV Pressure Setting Certificate” available (type code 3xx).

Key features

• Set pressure range 10 – 25 bar (145 – 363 psig)
• Refrigerants: HCFC, HFC, HC, R717 (ammonia), R744 (CO₂); –30 – +100 °C
• Strength test: 43 bar; leakage safety equal to set pressure
• Back-pressure dependent: opening pressure rises if back pressure exceeds atmospheric
• Plant operating pressure should be at least 15% below set pressure for perfect re-seating
• TÜV-approved construction and test facilities; classification-society certificates on request
