Danfoss EVRA Solenoid Valves
EVRA is a direct or servo-operated solenoid valve for liquid, suction and hot-gas lines with ammonia or fluorinated refrigerants. Supplied complete or as separate components — valve body, coil and flanges can be ordered separately.
Two operating principles: direct operation (EVRA 3) opens directly for full flow from 0 bar differential pressure; servo operation (EVRA 25/32/40) uses a servo piston with a minimum Δp of 0.2 bar for full opening.

Replacing discontinued EVRA 10 / 15 / 20
EVRA 10, EVRA 15 and EVRA 20 are discontinued. Their replacements are the direct-welded ICF 20-2 solenoid valves: EVRA(T) 10 and EVRA(T) 15 → ICF 20-2-121 (ICFE 20 module); EVRA(T) 20 → ICF 20-2-121H (ICFE 20H module). EVRA 25–40 → ICF 20/25 and ICS 25/32/40. Ask us for the ICF 20-2 range.

What is the Danfoss EVRA solenoid valve used for?
The EVRA is a servo-operated solenoid valve for industrial refrigeration. It is used for on/off control in liquid lines and hot gas lines — for example liquid feed to evaporators and hot gas defrost lines.
Can the EVRA be installed in suction lines?
Technically yes, but it is generally not recommended: the pressure drop across the valve on a suction line causes energy loss. An exception is return gas from small economizers, where the energy proportion is small.
Which refrigerants is the EVRA suitable for?
The EVRA is applicable to HCFC, HFC and R717 (ammonia) — covering both ammonia and Freon systems.
What is the operating temperature range?
The medium temperature range is -40 °C to +105 °C.
What minimum pressure differential does the EVRA need to open?
The EVRA 25/32/40 are servo-operated piston valves and need a minimum differential pressure of 0.2 bar across the valve for full opening.
Are EVRA 10, 15 and 20 still available?
No — EVRA 10/15/20 are discontinued. The current range is EVRA 25, EVRA 32 and EVRA 40.
Is the solenoid coil included with the valve?
The coil is ordered separately so you can choose the right voltage. The valve also has a manual opener for use during initial pressure testing of the system.
